About Me

Good Day,

My name is Gabriel.  I work security and also write in my spare time. I am quiet and considerate and of course, am happy to do my share of the household chores and create a good living space for all.  I am a recent transplant from San Francisco, and like so many others, have come to New York to explore my dreams.  My personal dream is to write a book, which I have been working on periodically for the past few years.  I am excited for the inspiration and creative nudges that I believe New York will bring.  

In terms of interests, I am a fan of the author Haruki Murakami and similar authors.  My musical tastes are eclectic, but lean toward traditional rock. One of my favorite classic bands of all time is AC/DC.  I also like more modern bands like The White Stripes and Tool.  In addition to books and music, I also love sampling cuisines of many ethnicities and exploring museums, especially those dealing with history and science.  For sports, I am a baseball fan and although I still love my home team, the SF Giants, I will be supporting the NY Mets.  I also enjoy watching football and other sports, though I would not describe myself as a fanatic. 

With regard to roommates, I am seeking an environment that is friendly, but respectful of private time.  I am social, but also enjoy solitude when I feel like its time to recharge my batteries.  I am fairly quiet, but I do like a laugh and have a varied sense of humor.  By way of example,  I can enjoy the humor in both The Big Bang Theory and Family Guy, which are very different.
